Vitamin C IV Therapy

Why Choose Vitamin C IV Therapy Over Oral Dosing?

Oral Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is absorbed in the intestines through an energy- and dose-dependent process. When the dose goes above 2g, absorption drops to less than 20%. This leaves large amounts of Vitamin C in the gut, pulling in water and causing gastrointestinal upset or diarrhea.

High-dose Vitamin C levels between 25g and 100g, which show cytotoxic effects against cancer cells, cannot be achieved through oral dosing. These levels are only possible with vitamin C IV therapy.

Benefits of IV Therapy

Historical Background

Vitamin C as an anti-cancer therapy was first explored by Nobel Prize winner Dr. Linus Pauling and Dr. Ewan Cameron in 1971. Their early clinical trial showed patients treated with 10,000 mg of Vitamin C intravenously had a four-fold increase in survival time. These findings were later published in the book Cancer and Vitamin C (1979).
